Branville: "We will not buy votes in campaign" - Week 2

So According to DNA party leader Branville McCartney, the DNA has more than sufficient money to win this years' campaign, however not a dollar of it will be used to buy votes. In my opinion that is incredibly hard to believe. I'm sure Mr. McCartney that in some way or another, vote will be bought, whether through employment, or favors MP's do for constituents. Mr McCartney said over the last eight months, the DNA has been doing more in terms of community work and events "than the other parties combined". Lets just hope that does not change if they are elected.

Arachnophobe creates cape woven from spider silk - Week 2

A golden cape woven from the silk of 1.2 million Golden Orb spiders has gone on display at London's Victoria and Albert Museum. The richly-embroidered garment -- its bright yellow hue is the natural color of the spider silk -- is the result of a seven-year project on the Indian Ocean island of Madagascar. Using long poles, a team of 80 people worked to collect the spiders from their webs each day and harvest their silk before returning them to the wild.

Due to failure on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, the mystery surrounding the hundreds of dead fish that washed up ashore last at Montague will never be solved. Due to the fact that no samples were taken the day they washed ashore, it is highly unlikely that it will ever be solved.

Demons loose in the Bahamas..... Week 1

Exorcism? Demons? Bishop Neil Ellis??? Three things that don't add up. Prominent pastor Bishop Neil Ellis told the Tribune earlier yesterday that God came to him in a dream and told him that the Bahamas was possessed by three evil demons which is the reason for the recent crime rate and immorality in The Bahamas. Really now? I mean I consider myself a "christian" and everything but I'm sure you could have found something a little more credible. But as always, many hung onto his many words at a gathering he held 7:30 at his home church, Mount Tabor. Keep posted for future revelations from Neil Ellis....

Titantic all over again?????....Week 1

The Costa Concordia, a luxury cruise ship under the well known Carnival cruise line apparently sank a few days. Reports say that due to human error, claiming that due to the captain's own needs he changed the ships route unauthorized as the ship left an Italian port Friday night. At least 11 people are known to be dead with 24 persons still missing due to the wreck. As a recent and long time cruise guest, I don't know if this Bahamian girl will taking anymore cruises in the near future.

Van Der Sloot is Charged with Murder - Week 1

On January 11th, Joran Van der Sloot pleaded guilty to the murder of Stephany Flores before a 28 person jury panel. in a hour hearing he was sentenced to 28 years in prison for Flores death and also to pay 74,000 to her heirs. Apparently Van der Sloot was charged with the most serious crime of all as it stands in Peru, Qualified Murder, which is killing for pleasure of profit. It could have been his smirking, yawning or just sheer lack of concern in his "sincere" confession which led the judges to their decision. Either way, I believe the rightful man is put behind bars. Face looks familiar, thats because he was also a first class murder suspect in the murder trial of Natalie Holloway. Coincidence or connection??? You decide.

The Arrival of Blue Ivy Carter - Week 1

Finally the most anticiapted baby arrival ever since Jesus is finally here..... Blue Ivy Carter! The much talked about and awaited offspring of Rap mogul Jayz and Hip Hop sensation Beyonce has finally made its way into the world. On January 7th 2012, Beyonce gave birth to a bouncing baby girl which I'm sure not only she but also the rest of the world were long awaiting. The name "Blue Ivy" comes from Jayz's three albums in the blue print and Ivy stems from the roman numerals IV which apparently Beyonce holds in high respect. Born of two of the most famous musicians Blue Ivy is sure to be a hit.
